Kurseong is a charming place, in the hill district of Darjeeling state of West Bengal. In the local language, kurseong is also pronounced as “Kharsang” earlier in the Lepcha language. Kharsang means land of white Orchids. Kurseong is located around 30 kilometers away from Darjeeling and was famous for its school and students from different places came to study there. Bangladeshi and Nepali students came in large numbers. The mission schools and small guest-houses which fill out an insufficient reality today, last from the British rule.
